The Tube Awards, what is it?

The Tube Awards is an initiative of Tube Afrique with the following Promoters Niran Adedokun (Creator and Founder), Temitope Duker (Administrator/Director), Fidelis Duker (Director) and Kingsley James (Director). The award seeks to recognise and reward excellence in television productions, first in Nigeria and ultimately, Africa. We recognise the role of television in cultural representation, general perception of social realities and propelling individuals to build a better world, one television at a time.

Objectives

The objective of the award is to inspire a revolution that will raise the bar and bring the quality of TV productions in Africa globally competitive.

To achieve this,

  • The Tube Awards will recognise, honour, and reward the best in Television production in Nigeria and Africa over every preceding year.
  • It shall also organise events targeted at building the capacity of practitioners for optimal performance.
  • It will bridge gaps in the industry and serve as a reference for authenticity within the nation and beyond.
  • The awards will be held every year.

Mission

To promote quality television programming through capacity building as well as recognising and rewarding excellence.

Vision

To elevate the standard television programming on the continent by pushing the bar of the highest standards of quality in the creative, professional, and technical aspects of production.
